FLINT (WKZO) -- Nurses at Hurley Medical Center in Flint received a cash payment in a settlement over a discrimination lawsuit filed last year.
Tonya Battle alleged a father was granted a request by the hospital that prevented black nurses from caring for his child. She claimed a note was written by a supervisor repeating the father's request.
The hospital, Battle, and two other nurses not listed in the lawsuit, received cash as part of the agreement to settle the lawsuit. The dollar amount was not released by hospital officials.
