DETROIT (WKZO) -- A potential software issue is triggering a recall of about 33,700 General Motors vehicles.
The glitch could raise the risk of a crash in 2013 Buick LaCrosse sedans and Cadillac SRX crossover vehicles. The automaker says the problem could cause the transmissions to slip from manual to automatic mode.
GM says there have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to the issue. Vehicles being recalled are in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, the Middle East and China.
Dealers will reprogram the transmission control module for free.
