BATTLE CREEK. ,MI (WTVB) - Kellogg Community College students will be paying nearly seven percent more tuition per credit hour for each of the next three semesters. The hike was approved Wednesday by the KCC Board of Trustees as the school deals with falling state aid and less property tax revenue.
For those attending the KCC Grahl Center Campus in Coldwater, school officials say the increase beginning with the summer semester will amount to $3.25 more per credit hour, compared to two dollars an hour for in-district students at the Battle Creek based institution. The current per credit hour rate in Coldwater is $138.75. Last fall, a Michigan Community College Business Association Survey indicated KCC’s tuition was the 25th lowest out of 28 community colleges in the state.
