KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- If all goes as scheduled, Antonio Livingston will be given mandatory life in prison without parole at his sentencing today in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court.
Livingston was tried and found guilty last month in the baseball beating death of Kalamazoo Antiques dealer Robert Medema in his Oakland Drive home last August.
He was found guilty of first degree and felony murder, first degree home invasion and assault with intent to rob.
In an unexpected move, Livingston took to the stand to testify in his own defense at his trial, but the Prosecutor argued that the version he told was just another in a series of stories that Livingston had come up with, all exonerating him and blaming co-defendant John Aguilar. Aguilar’s trial is scheduled to begin in two weeks, on April 9th.
