BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) -- The FBI says that a 5-thousand dollar reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the man who walked into a Battle Creek credit union on February first, and held the place up at gunpoint.
The bounty is being offered by The Southwest Michigan Federal Credit Union.
It was their branch on Columbia Avenue that was held up. The FBI says the robber handed the teller a note demanding cash, was given an undisclosed amount, and fled on foot. They believe he ran through the Riverside Country Club golf course to the spot where he stashed a getaway car. He is described as a 6-foot tall black male in his late 20’s wearing a grey knit cap and a dark colored Temple University jacket with white lettering.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the FBI in Kalamazoo or Battle Creek’s Silent Observer.
