KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The John Aguilar murder trial has taken an unexpected turn. Antonio Livingston who was convicted of murder in February despite testifying on the stand earlier this year that Aguilar was the one who beat Robert Medema to death with a baseball bat, came up with yet another version, confessing that he was the one who delivered the fatal blows.
He testified that Aguilar was outside the home when the attack occurred. But Livingston also testified their plan was just to daze Medema with the bat, and that it didn’t seem to be working, so he hit him several more times.
Livingston testified he then let Aguilar in and that they retrieved nearly 360 dollars from Medema’s wallet, searched the house for more and left.
Testimony will resume today.
