PONTIAC (WKZO) -- Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is refusing to apologize publicly to Michigan House Speaker Jase Bolger for comments he recently made comparing Bolger to Hitler.

During the taping of the public television show ''Off the Record,'' Patterson reportedly went as far as to call the Speaker "Adolf Bolger" and then took a comb from his pocket and placed it under his nose, making reference to Adolph Hitler's well known mustache.  Patterson says he's not going to apologize for comparing him to someone else and has sent Bolger a letter in the mail which includes a "lukewarm" apology.
