CALGARY, ALBERTA – The Detroit Red Wings continue a five-game road swing against the Flames in Calgary tonight. Detroit opened the trip with a 3-2 overtime win in Vancouver Tuesday.
Forward Mitch Callahan will play in his second game for the Wings tonight after he was called up from Grand Rapids earlier this week. Callahan’s NHL debut was with Detroit in March 2014.
The red-hot Chicago Blackhawks square off with the New York Islanders at the United Center tonight. Chicago is coming off Wednesday’s 4-1 win over the Penguins. The ‘Hawks have won five straight and 10 of their last 11. They sit three points behind Minnesota for first place in the West.
