ALLEGAN (WKZO) -- Perrigo has triggered a nationwide, voluntary recall of 18-batches of its generic and store brand Acetaminophen for infants.
Because it’s for babies, the medicine is suspended in a liquid that is delivered to the child’s mouth with a little plastic syringe.
The problem isn’t with the product but with some of the syringes, which were shipped without dosing markings on them. At least that’s what the company believes.
One of the complications with Perrigo drugs is that they appear on store shelves in a variety of store brand packages.
Each parent will have to check the product and if your syringe has markings, then you can continue to use the product. If your syringe does not, take it back to the store.
