BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WKZO) -- Battle Creek Police officers are investigating a hit and run accident that took place around 10:13 a.m. Tuesday.
A pedestrian in the westbound lane of Dickman Road just west of Capital Avenue was struck by a vehicle that fled scene. The 63-year-old victim from Battle Creek suffered severe injuries and was taken by ambulance to Borgess Hospital.
The vehicle is described as a gray or black SUV, possibly a late 1990s model to early 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The passenger side of the front fender should have suffered damage and the vehicle is missing its passenger side review mirror.
