DETROIT (WKZO) -- General Motors is celebrating the announcement that the newly re-designed Cadillac CTS sedan is Motor Trend Magazine's Car of the Year for 2014.
The competition for the award included entries from Chevrolet, BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, and KIA. The CTS beat the highly regarded Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in this year's competition.
Motor Trend officials say they were impressed with the CTS's powertrain, handling and smooth ride. The CTS is expected in showrooms before the end of the year.
