ANN ARBOR (WKZO) -- If reports in the Detroit Free Press are accurate, then it may be a while before the suspects in the murder of medical student Paul DeWolf of Schoolcraft will be formally charged in Michigan.
The report states that at least two of the three were arrested in South Carolina, and are in custody there awaiting extradition proceedings.
The newspaper reports that a 21-year-old was arrested in North Charleston.
A search of his home turned up a duffle bag with two stolen guns inside.
A 20-year-old was arrested in Sumter. In his home they found a business card from an Ann Arbor taxi cab firm, a University of Michigan cup and other items.
It’s not clear if the items are considered evidence in the DeWolf murder or who the third suspect may be or where he may have been arrested.
