VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO) -- A Michigan State Trooper and another driver are both recovering from minor injuries after a high speed collision yesterday afternoon.
The two vehicles collided at M40 and M43 in Van Buren County about 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon.
The State Trooper was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed to an accident scene in Gobles with his lights and sirens switched on, and thought he could make the red at the intersection, when the driver of an SUV, who had a green light entered the intersection and rammed the patrol car broadside in the passenger door.
Even though he had the green he should have yielded to the police car and he may be cited.
They were taken to Bronson Hospital to get patched up .
