ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) - Seventh-ranked Michigan shot lights out from three point range last night for an easy 93-59 win over South Carolina State at Crisler Center. Caris LeVert had 24 points and Nik Stauskas scored 23 for the 2-and-0 Wolverines, who made fifteen 3’s as a team to fall one shy of tying a school record. LaVert was 6-for-7 on 3-pointers and Stauskas went five for six from long range. Michigan was fine again without preseason All-American Mitch McGary, who continues to sit with a lower back injury. The Wolverines are back in action Sunday at Iowa State.
Elsewhere last night, Central Michigan lost at Bradley 80-70 while Eastern Michigan cruised past Concordia 95-50.
