GETTYSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA (WKZO) -- There was another time when the nation was even more fractured than it is now, and we could probably learn some lessons from their experience.
Yesterday they reenacted and celebrated the Gettysburg Address on the very spot where it was delivered 150 years ago, by a man who very much looked like Abraham Lincoln.
A family from Kalamazoo was in the crowd, soaking it all in.
Michelle Serlin & Troy Zukowski take patriotic vacations. They also went to the last Inauguration. Daughter Julia and her friend Maya who both go to Portage West Middle School were also there to see a do-over of history.
They say they learned a lot about equality and the struggle the nation went through to acheive some measure of it. They are missing school for this so they will both be writing reports.
