BARRY COUNTY (WKZO) -- State Police say a school bus driver who became distracted is responsible for causing a bus to go off the side of the road and flip over along m-43 early Tuesday morning.
The bus belongs to the Barry County Intermediate School District and had five special needs students on board at the time.
Two good Samaritans stopped to help free them from the wreckage. All suffered minor injuries and were transported to Pennock Hospital for treatment.
They aren’t saying whether it was one of the children or something else that distracted the driver. That remains under investigation.
The driver is on paid leave until the police investigation is complete.
