UNDATED (WKZO) -- Don’t say we didn’t warn you. '
Gas Prices have jumped up about 20 to 25-cents a gallon at most area gas pumps to 3.39 a gallon at most stations in west Michigan.
If you can find it for less, you may want to stop. That’s eight-cents higher than the state average and 13-cents higher than the national average.
It all but wipes out a 23-cent per gallon advantage the area had over the Thanksgiving travel holiday period last year.
It comes just days before the busiest travel day of the year in the United States as 43-million Americans are expected to hit the road this coming week for a trip of 50 miles or more.
About 1.3-million of them will be Michiganders, all to share a turkey dinner with the relatives.
There were concerns earlier this week that last Sunday’s storms might have an impact on refineries, but we now know now that wasn’t a problem.
