CHICAGO, IL (WTVB) - Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing knee surgery Monday morning. Rose hurt his right knee during Friday's loss in Portland and the Bulls learned the 2010-11 MVP would need surgery to have torn meniscus repaired, but were still hoping he could return this season. Instead, Rose will be limited to just 10 games this season after missing all of the 2012-13 campaign while recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee. Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has signed a two-year contract extension. Financial terms were not released, but it should enable the 15-time All-Star to finish his brilliant career with the Lakers. He was in the final year of his current contract. Bryant, the Lakers' all-time leading scorer and the fourth-highest scorer in NBA history, still isn't ready to play as he continues his recovery from a ruptured Achilles in his left leg. He has returned to practice, but the team is unsure when he will suit up for a game.
