PORTAGE (WKZO) -- Elizabeth Campbell has cut a deal with prosecutors to avoid facing a jury for embezzling around 40-thousand dollars from the Portage Rotary Club when she was president of the organization.
The Prosecution has agreed to leave sentencing on the ten year felony up to the judge. Campbell resigned from the Portage City Council just weeks before the allegations went public.
She is expected to be ordered to jail and probation and to make full restitution when she is sentenced on January 21st.
She has already made partial restitution.
