KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Organizers of the Kalamazoo County Fair are already planning next year’s event and last night they heard from the public.
They held a workshop session to come up with ways to make it something special. Fair coordinator Roxanne Bruce says last year’s fair gave them a firm foundation, it was family friendly, it was a 4-H success and it did not lose money.
Workshop participants suggested everything from more demolition derbies to a comedian competition, to a pie-bake-off, and came up with many other ideas, including using one of their prize 4-H pigs for a pig-roast.
Bruce says they will take the suggestions back to the board.
