DETROIT (WKZO) -- The holiday travel rush is underway. According to Triple-A Michigan, an estimated 1.3-million Michigan residents are expected to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Officials say vehicle travel remains the most popular with roughly 90% of Michigan travelers going by car. An estimated seven-percent of travelers will go by air and slightly less are predicted to travel by train or bus.
The Thanksgiving holiday travel period is defined as Wednesday, November 27th, through Sunday, December 1st.
