PAW PAW (WKZO) -- An Illinois man has been charged with the stabbing death of Trey Yarbrough of Kalamazoo in Paw Paw this week.
38-year-old William Chance Stephens faces one count of open murder and has been ordered held without bond in the Van Buren County Jail.
The two were reportedly seen at the Lakeside Inn in Paw Paw late Tuesday night and soon after, Yarbrough staggered over to the Marathon Station across the street, covered in blood.
He collapsed in the driveway after calling police.
He was dead before he made it to the hospital.
Stephens was tracked down by the State Police Fugitive Team and arrested several hours later in Battle Creek.
He has been formally charged with open murder.
