GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- A quilt from northern Michigan has won the top award in this year’s Artprize in Grand Rapids.
The four panel quilt is a depiction of a landscape from the Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore and is the creation of Anne Loveless of Frankfort.
Her work made headlines when it became a victim of the Government Shutdown. It had to be moved out of the Gerald R. Ford Library into a tent out in front of the museum.
She will take home the 200-thousand dollar grand prize.
The Top three winners were all at the Ford Museum.
