LANSING, MI (WTVB) - A ruling is expected Wednesday regarding Michigan's ban on same-sex marriage. A U.S. District Court is set to determine whether or not the 2004 law violates the Constitution. If the court lifts the ban on same sex marriage, it could potentially be legal in the state during an appeals process. It would remain legal unless a higher court overturns the ruling.
Also on Wednesday, the court could decide whether or not to overrule the state's ban on same-sex adoption.
