NEW HAVEN, CT (WKZO) -- Three American Economists have won the Nobel Prize for redefining how economists view and analyze how markets work, and one of them comes from Michigan. Robert Shiller was born in Detroit and got his B.A. at the University of Michigan. He now teaches at Yale.
Shiller says he was in the shower when he got the call.
He still has family in the MotorCity and asked his brother if he had heard the news, and his brother replied...the Tigers lost? The other two economists, Eugene Fama and Lars Peter Hansen both teach at the University of Chicago.
