CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO) -- A Pennfield Township man is expected in court today to face charges after a marathon stand off with Calhoun County Deputies over the weekend.
It began Saturday with a call from the man’s wife that he had been holding her against her will, threatening to kill her and firing the gun inside their home.
She escaped and ran into a gas station, calling on the employees to dial 9-1-1 when they had to run an errand from their home to pick up medication.
The 63-year-old suspect reportedly chased her waving the gun but quickly retreated back to his car and returned to their home on Gorsline Road.
He refused to come out for 8 hours until he finally surrendered.
He is expected to face a list of charges in court today.
