PULLMAN (WKZO) -- An Allegan County woman is recovering from serious injuries in a Kalamazoo hospital after she was struck by a hit and run driver Thursday night at about 10:30.
They believe 21-year-old Rachel Krieger had stopped to help a cat in the street, when she was struck.
A passerby found her lying injured on the street, a wet cat in her car, her door open and her engine running.
Relatives say she didn’t own a cat.
Whoever hit her didn’t stop to render aid or call for help.
They are looking for a either a GMC Pick-up or suburban built between 1988 and 1999 with a front headlight and turn signal assembly missing, because it broke off when she was struck.
