AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- Chrysler Group LLC reported a third quarter profit of 484-million dollars on the strength of sales of pickup trucks and SUVs.
Officials say revenue was up by nearly 14-percent compared to last year. Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said the company will not adjust its income projections even though it has released the much anticipated Jeep Cherokee. He says the automaker expects to have a net income of between 1.7-billion and 2..2-billion dollars for the year.
Overall Chrysler's third quarter vehicle sales were up by eight percent over 2012.
