BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- The Battle Creek City Commission has a packed agenda this evening. They are expected to approve an ordinance that will protect lesbians, bi-sexuals, gays and transgendered residents from discrimination in housing and employment.
Over two dozen other Michigan Communities have already adopted similar provisions.
That may not be the most controversial issue on the agenda.
There seems to be divisions on the commission over the performance of City Manager Ken Tsuchiyama and whether or not he deserves the same 2% raise given other city administrators.
Evaluation surveys given to commissioners rate his performance from unacceptable to exceeding expectations. It could result in some pointed debate.
