LANSING (WKZO) --The House has given final approval to the Medicaid Expansion bill which will now head to the governor, but many still aren’t happy.
What didn’t happen yesterday was a vote in the Senate to give the bill Immediate effect, which means eligible candidates will have to wait until April 1st instead of January 1st to start getting coverage.
State House Rep. Sean McCann says on any other bill, immediate effect has been almost automatic. He say republicans are still doing whatever they can to sabotage Obamacare.
Speaker Jase Bolger preferred to look on the bright side saying at least they got the bills to the Governor’s desk.
The bills will wait for Snyder’s return from a trade mission to Asia.
