DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - We should find out today the status of Lion’s rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who has reportedly been dealing with concussion-symptoms. Detroit coach Jim Schwartz hasn’t been commenting on the specific condition of players that have been hurt but today is the day the league requires teams to begin releasing an official daily injury report.
Receiver Calvin Johnson and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh were back at practice yesterday. Johnson missed the final three preseason games with a bruised knee while Suh, who didn’t play in the exhibition finale last Thursday, has reportedly been hobbled by an upper-body injury.
Detroit opens the regular season Sunday at home against the Vikings.
