Michigan State still looking for answers at quarterback as they host South Florida

EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State hopes to get its offense untracked when it plays South Florida Saturday at Spartan Stadium but the quarterback who will start against the visiting Bulls remained a question mark following MSU’s practice on Wednesday. In last Friday night’s lackluster win over Western Michigan, starter Andrew Maxwell and Connor Cook combined for just 116 yards passing against the Broncos and the receivers didn’t help much with at least 5 dropped passes. Speculation is brewing in East Lansing that freshman Damion Terry or redshirt freshman Tyler O’Connor are in line to see significant playing time at quarterback on Saturday.

Week Two of the college football season gets going tonight although no ranked teams are scheduled again for action until Saturday.
