KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Wednesday will mark the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks and there are a number of ways you can get involved.
The Red Cross is scheduling a number of blood collections around the area this week.
They will be holding a Stair Climb at Wings Stadium to raise money for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Participants will climb the equivalent of the 110 stories in the World Trade Center. It will begin at 8:15 a.m. and take much of the morning to complete.
That evening, a commemoration will be held in Bronson Park. Organizer Lorence Wenke says its important that we remember the sacrifices made that day, and every day before and since. It will begin at 6 p.m.
Volunteer Kalamazoo will be hosting a Day of Service at the Radisson from 4:30 to 6:30 that evening, with a number of projects designed to be done by families.
