ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) - Michigan has jumped up in the polls after the Wolverines 41-30 win over Notre Dame Saturday night at the Big House with the largest crowd ever to see a college football game. Michigan improved 6 places in the Associated Press rankings to 11th place and moved ahead 5 spots to 12th in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Notre Dame slipped to 21st in both polls. Michigan will host Akron this week while the Fighting Irish play at Purdue Saturday night.
Michigan State meanwhile, still struggling on offense while managing to start out 2-and-0, will host Youngstown State.
