DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The NFL is sending Ndamukong Suh a message although the league has decided to take money and not playing time away from the Lion’s defensive tackle who some in the sport call a dirty player. Suh has been fined $100,000 for his personal foul in Detroit's 34-24 season opening win Sunday over the Vikings. Suh was flagged after he blindsided Minnesota center John Sullivan with a hit to the knees while making a block on the backside of an interception return for a Detroit touchdown that was reversed because of the penalty.
The NFL was considering a suspension for Suh because he is a repeat offender. The Lions second game of the season will be on the road Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
