ALBION (WKZO) -- They will be cleaning up the damage from a series of isolated but intense storm cells that toppled trees into vehicles and homes late Wednesday afternoon in southern Calhoun, St. Joseph and Branch Counties.
Some in Calhoun County could be without power for a day or two.
Albion College has shut down for the rest of the week because of the extensive damage on campus and in the community.
The Albion College campus has no hot water or electricity or exterior lighting and they are telling students they should go home as soon as possible.
They will be closing the dorms at noon today, and may reopen them on Sunday if they have power. Classes won’t resume until Monday.
There were also reports of damage in Centreville, Mendon, Homer, Three Rivers and in Southern Branch County.
