MANISTEE (WKZO) -- A day of emotion and tears as funeral services were held for Michigan State Trooper Paul Butterfield in Manistee on Saturday.
The veteran Officer was shot and killed on Monday during what he thought was a routine traffic stop. Over a thousand police officers from all over the state and nation attended the services.
Governor Rick Snyder, MSP Director, Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue and family members all delivered eulogies.
Blue balloons were released at a candlelight vigil held Saturday night in Ludington. Butterfield was 43.
