COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State Police say two illegal marijuana growing operations in Branch County were busted last night with more than 100 pot plants seized. Troopers got a tip about marijuana being moved from a residence in Ovid Township. A suspect vehicle was pulled over and a total of 58 plants were discovered along with about one pound of processed marijuana.
Meanwhile, State Police were called to a possible domestic dispute in Sherwood Township when they found a grow operation in the basement of the home. A total of 76 marijuana plants and seven pounds of processed marijuana were seized. No one has yet been taken into custody. Warrants in both cases are being sought through the Branch County Prosecutors Office.
