Flat Rock River, Indiana (WKZO) -- The search for a missing Kalamazoo man on the Flat Rock River in southern Indiana may continue today.
The search for 24-year-old Enrique Quinonez has been hampered by the very conditions that may have cost him his life.
Heavy rains have left the river swollen and the currents treacherous.
They found a pair of black shorts on Tuesday. They are trying to determine if they belonged to the victim.
They say Quinonez could not swim, had little experience in a kayak and was not wearing a life jacket when launched off the bank of the FLatrock River with a friend on Sunday.
He apparently capsized soon after.
His friend was able to make it to shore.
