ALLEGAN (WKZO) -- An Allegan County man who allegedly put a Child Protective Services worker from Kalamazoo County in the hospital last month, has been charged with reckless driving causing serious injury.
Allegan Deputies say Adam Tencate of Pullman was exceeding the speed limit on 43rd St. when he failed to yield right of way at 118th Ave., slamming into the state owned car driven by Benjamin Woodward of Portage.
Woodward had to be cut out of the wreckage and was airlifted to Kalamazoo in critical condition. His current condition is not known.
Deputies say the pick-up driven by the 32-year-old suspect had defects that would have kept him from braking safely at higher speeds.
