DETROIT, MI (WTVB) -The Tigers game last night at Comerica Park against Cleveland was postponed because of the cold weather in Detroit. A makeup date hasn’t yet been announced for what was supposed to the opener of a 3-game series to begin a ten game home stand. The Tigers are scheduled to play the Indians tonight with yesterday’s starter Anibal Sanchez still in the rotation to pitch this evening with Justin Verlander on the mound for tomorrow afternoon’s series finale. Detroit has a 6-4 record so far while Cleveland is off to a 6-7 start.
The White Sox last night improved to 8-6 as they got past the Red Sox 2-1 in Chicago while the Cubs game against the Yankees in New York was postponed.
