ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) - The Detroit Lions voluntary minicamp opened yesterday without three players. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, cornerback Chris Houston and return specialist Carlin Isles were all missing yesterday. Suh has yet to participate in offseason workouts and is negotiating a new contract, Houston is dealing with an injury and Isles is playing rugby with a team overseas.
Detroit also announced yesterday that they signed defensive end George Johnson. He was originally signed by Tampa Bay in 2010 and has played the last two seasons in Minnesota.
