DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Tigers earned a split of their four game series with the White Sox with a 7-4 win yesterday afternoon at Comerica Park. Max Scherzer surrendered two runs on seven hits over 6 innings and struck out ten for his second victory of the season, while Joe Nathan worked the ninth and struck out two on his way to his fourth save. Miguel Cabrera had three RBI’s with a pair of singles and Rajai Davis had a solo home run, a double and a single with two rbi’s.
Detroit, now 11-8, opens an eight game road trip tonight, beginning with a three game weekend set against the Minnesota Twins.
