DETROIT, MI (WTVB) - The Detroit Red Wings cleaned out their lockers and posed for team pictures yesterday after they were eliminated from the playoffs Saturday by the Boston Bruins. Coach Mike Babcock says with so many injuries to key players, the summer is critical for healing and conditioning.  The Red Wings will have some decisions to make concerning next year's roster as Daniel Alfredsson, Todd Bertuzzi, Daniel Cleary, Jonas Gustavsson, David Legwand, Kyle Quincey and Mikael Samuelsson will become unrestricted free agents on July 1st. General Manager Ken Holland said he is planning to talk with Babcock about a contract extension over the summer.  Babcock has been behind Detroit's bench since the 2005-2006 season and has one year left of his current deal.

The Kalamazoo Wings last night made an early exit from the ECHL Kelly Cup playoffs, losing 3-1 at home to Greenville as the Road Warriors took the first round series four games to two.
