KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Mattawan man who made a bad situation worse when State Police say he barricaded himself in his car for 5-hours Wednesday, could be back in court today.
The State Police Fugitive Team tried to arrest Nickolas Kowal for outstanding warrants filed in Kalamazoo County, ironically for fleeing and resisting officers back on July 11th.
Video arraignment came on those charges yesterday in Kalamazoo.
Bond was set at 25-thousand.
Kowal may appear in Court in Paw Paw today to face new charges that are the result of Wednesday’s standoff.
They claim Kowal smashed into police cruisers and tried to strike officers, which could result in malicious destruction and felonious assault counts.
