MECOSTA COUNTY (WKZO) -- They may never know exactly how many people showed up for a party in rural Mecosta County that triggered a massive police and emergency response Saturday night.
It was called “Project P” on social media, promoted as an open party.
Some of the partiers reportedly headed into nearby cornfields when police arrived.
Residents say cars were lined up for some distance along 5 Mile Road and 70th Avenue where the Party was located.
Police are investigating reports of drug use, under-aged drinking and a sexual assault. EMT’s were treating the five partiers who suffered injuries.
It will be investigated to determine if anyone can be charged with any of the offenses that were committed.
