EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State has dismissed forward Kenny Kaminski from the team. M-S-U head coach Tom Izzo said Monday that despite multiple opportunities, Kaminski could not live up to the obligations necessary to be a part of the Spartan program. He was suspended for last season's two exhibition games as well as the season-opener. He averaged 4.9 points, but led the Big Ten by making 49.4 percent of his 77 three-point shot attempts. Kaminski, who may have gained a starting spot on a team that made a run to the Elite Eight last season, announced via Twitter Saturday that he would be transferring to another school, but Spartans coach Tom Izzo clarified that yesterday with the dismissal announcement.
