LANSING (WKZO) -- Just days after MSHDA Director Scott Woosley said he had no intention of resigning and hours after demanding an audit that he was sure would clear his name of allegations of lavish spending, he has now resigned.
Democrats had bashed the Snyder appointee for seeking reimbursement for trips to Dubai, limo trips across Nebraska, expensive meals, stays at luxury hotels and business class flights to China.
They questioned why a department head administering a housing program for the poor would need to travel to these places.
Snyder Spokesperson Sara Wurfel denies he was pressured to quit after vowing to defend his integrity, but would concede that it was by “mutual agreement”.
Democrats are now calling for a review of the expense accounts of all of Snyder’s department heads.
