NEW YORK, NY (WTVB) - The NBA last night unveiled its full regular season schedule which will include an extended All-Star break for the first time in league history. The Pistons open their season with a pair of road games, October 29th at Denver and October 30th at Minnesota and then it’s the home opener for Detroit at the Palace on Saturday night, November First against the Brooklyn Nets. The Pistons will be featured twice nationally on ESPN with a Martin Luther King Day matinee January 19th at Atlanta and an April 3rd game at Chicago.
The defending champion San Antonio Spurs will help open the 2014-15 NBA regular season as part of a tripleheader. The Spurs will raise their championship banner Tuesday, October 28th against Dallas. LeBron James begins his second stint in Cleveland on Thursday, October 30th when the Cavaliers host the New York Knicks.
There will be five games on Christmas Day, including LeBron's return to Miami as the Cavaliers play the Heat.
