LA JARA, COLORADO (WKZO) -- Funeral services have been scheduled for a Kalamazoo Central Grad who died Friday when he fell from the top of a cliff at Rio Grande National Forest in Colorado.
Family members say 22-year-old Dylan Jarsma was pursuing photography, one of his main interests at a dramatic waterfall when he lost his balance and went over the edge.
Since graduation in 2010, he had served in the U.S. Navy, returned to Kalamazoo and trained as an EMT.
He was moving to Colorado to train to become a smokejumper and to take photography classes.
Services are scheduled for next Tuesday the 26th at Second Christian Reformed at 11 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Langeland Funeral Home.
